Ingredients

  • 4 salmon steaks
  • sea salt
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • juice of one lemon
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes
Garnish
  • freshly chopped parsley

Method

  1. Rinse the steaks and pat dry with paper towels. Season on both sides with salt and pepper. In a large skillet heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Add salmon and sear until the bottom is golden about 5 minutes. Add garlic, lemon juice, honey, and red pepper flakes. Using a spatula flip the steaks and sear until the salmon is cooked through, another 5 minutes, spooning sauce over the steaks.

  2. Sprinkle with parsley before serving.
