Turkish Apple Tea

  • about 200g / 7oz of sliced dried apples
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 clove buds
  • 1.4l / 6 cups of cold water
  • honey or sugar to sweeten


  1. Place all the ingredients except the honey or sugar in a saucepan or medium size pot. Bring to boil then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 15 minutes.

  2. Strain the hot tea through a fine mesh strainer into a teapot. Press gently on the apples to release all the liquid. Discard the apples.

  3. Sweeten with sugar or honey, pour into glasses and enjoy while hot.
