A tipsy jam with cherries and wine.

Cherry Jam with Red Wine

  • Servings: about 8 jars á 200ml
  • Difficulty: some practice required

Ingredients

  • 875g of sour cherries (weighed after pits have been removed)
  • 125ml of red wine
  • 1150g of jam sugar (alternatively: 1150g of regular sugar + pectins. Hereby follow the instructions on the packaging)

Preparation

  1. Wash the cherries, then remove and discard the pits. Cut the cherries in half and weigh 875g.

  2. Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan and follow instructions on how to make homemade jam.
